Growing Grass

I have a vision of green pastures in the future...beautiful grass abundant.

Jenson's body is like a field that has been freshly plowed and fertilized with seeds of life. The seeds have just begun to show tiny little sprouts of green starting to appear in patches.

The little sprouts need to spread and grow into green fields. They will fight many battles such as weeds (aka bad LCH cells) and bad weather (aka viruses such as BK) that can threaten their growth.

We need Sydney's seeds to take over 100% of Jenson's bone marrow for the green patches to continue growing and remain. Anything less can mean the green grass dies off. At day +60 and day +100 (60 and 100 days post transplant), they will run tests to see what percentage of the cells are "Sydney cells" -- 100 is the magic number.

Right now it is a battle of good versus evil. Sydney's good cells are starting to clean up shop. If they could talk they would be saying things to all the bad histio cells like, "Leave my brother alone! Get out of here - you are not welcome! My brother is going to get better.". I love thinking about her cells being victorious - kicking butt and taking names.

We continue to pray for victory over the critical months ahead to ensure the beginning of new life won't be strangled by weeds or weather.

"Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your rightness"
