Helping Hands

Jenson is bonding with the nurses down here too.

It takes a special person to be an oncology/bone marrow nurse. They are caring, compassionate, and careful about germs (to protect "our kids" as they call them). It must be difficult to watch children dealing with so much, but they are inspired by the way kids respond to adversity and knowing they can help with the fight of their lives.

His "nurse friends" made him a sign with his name on it. As he decides he "loves them", he has them autograph his sign.

Jenson made them a picture too last week. He told me exactly what to write on the picture. He was so excited he said, "I need show them," so we brought his picture out to the nursing station. All his "nurse friends" were in other rooms and next thing I know he was saying, "Hello??? Everybody? Where are you?". It echoed throughout the halls while we searched for his nurse friends like they were playing hide and seek. After a couple minutes of looking, he decided to hang the picture in his room and show them whenever they come to visit. He proudly smiles each time he shows it off. He is too darn cute!!!

There are special people who provide helping hands and extra love and support along Jenson's journey.
