Breakdown for Breakthrough

We experience yet another breakdown this morning highlighting the hospital plumbing issues.

The oncologist on the floor tells Doug they won't start the conditioning chemo until after Sydney has the bone marrow procedure. The bone marrow doctor told us last week Jenson would get chemo first and on the 8th day they would do Sydney's procedure and give him the marrow that afternoon.

Why are we getting conflicting information AGAIN? Doug gets to rant this time and given he hasn't slept in a couple nights, I'm sure it wasn't pretty. It is obvious we are about to blow!

This time another breakdown brings breakthrough.

The bone marrow team is taking us early (I guess the hospital is eating the expense), so we won't be "between the cracks" anymore. Hallelujah!!!

Dr. Cavalier told me a few weeks ago once we get transferred it will feel similar to the care we were getting at Legacy. We will have one main point of contact. I trust her completely, so have been holding out hope through the mess.

One point of contact with one set of information will be dreamy.

Finally, an answer to prayer.

Kristin
