The verdict is in

The results of the MRI are in...finally some good news.

He does NOT have infection pockets in his GI tract.

He does NOT have active disease in his brain, kidney, spleen, or liver. Yay!!!

He does though still have a partial poop blockage.

This is the best possible news we could have gotten from these tests.

So now we have to treat him for the bone, skin, and gut issues. We're switching chemo treatments to vincristine and ara-c with prednisone as well. He starts his first treatment tonight which he really really needs.

On the bad news side, there is a cold virus going around Syd's school we found out about today. Please pray for protection for our family especially Jenson!

  1. Kristin and Doug,
We are SO thankful for these wonderful test results. We've been crying and praying with you during this crisis.

I'm using a book for treating endometrial cancer that might be helpful to you. He reports on research being done using certain nutriceuticals and even foods that help to make chemo more effective, and even counteract the negative effects of it, prevent nausea and constipation, etc. The survival rate of cancer victims can be fantastically extended through very minor additions to the chemo program. I'm using only the nutriceuticals and appear to be getting very good results from the program, so I really think it would be worth looking at to see if there might be something to help Jenson get his strength back and overcome this disease. It's written in a way that is very acceptable to doctors too, and presented as a supplement to chemo. He presents so many safe treatments that you have to choose between them and alternate between them. It's absolutely amazing all the things available, especially in the area of phytochemicals like lutein and sulforaphane that are being tested now, and breaking news like high doses of vitamin D are crucial. In case you get a bad report from the bone marrow test, let me tell you Nancy Butler's story. After full treatment for breast cancer, many years ago, her bone marrow biopsy was so bad that the doctor said she could not recuperate and would be an invalid for the rest of her short life. She began taking some Shaklee products and within weeks her tests were normal and she returned to work another 20 years or so in Brazil in a physically stressful location. Don't give up!

    Love and prayers,
    Kathie
