First, the update on the little man.
Jenson is slowly getting better. He's walking more and has moments of feeling ok accompanied by moments of really not feeling well (this is totally normal though when you're recovering from that type of surgery and everything else he's been through over the past couple of weeks). The biggest challenge we're having right now is getting him to eat things, not surprising given every time he eats he winds up with bad stomach cramps. He's slimmed down, but not to worry... those adorable big cheeks are still around!
We have doctors appointments later this week with the GI doctor and Oncologist to check his progress and talk about the future.
On another note, one incredible blessing we're received through this time is an outpouring of love and support from people and we are so thankful! You go through times in life where you see the incredible goodness and kindness in people, and this is definitely one of those times. I'm not the best at even knowing when I need help, but God is definitely using friends and family to support us and help us through this time. We are incredibily thankful for everything people have done for us such as meals, flowers to brighten the day, notes, calls, and prayers. They have really helped keep us strong as we're all recovering from the events of the last two weeks.
We also are so thankful to be living near family. I'm not sure what we would have done without the help and support of family recently. God has used this as a time to draw us even closer to family and really rely on them for support.
Thank you to everyone who is helping us through this time. Words can't express our appreciation.
