It looks like we will be doing a PET scan either Monday or Tuesday to give us a baseline for where we have active disease prior to starting the new chemo. Chemo will likely start on Wednesday. The new chemo is really intense, and the nurse says the side effects can be horrific (lots of vomitting and nausea). We are praying God will protect our little boy from the typical side effects and bring healing to his body.
Since we are going to be in the hospital for at least 2-3 more weeks, we got Jenson his own Christmas tree for his room. We decorated it with Cars ornaments. He loves it! He keeps smiling everytime he looks at it. It gives him a little something to brighten up his room.
Jenson enjoys the simple pleasures in life like a Christmas tree in the hospital to celebrate this holiday season. I am trying to follow his example and remember to celebrate.
