Today was a surprisingly good day. Jenson was more like his old self. You could see the cute little twinkle back in his eyes. His adorable smile and belly laugh even made brief appearances today.
He wanted to play with “Cars”, read a “Cars” book, and watch “Cars” movies while saying all his favorite lines. Yes, we have an obsessed fan on our hands.
To top the day off some friends brought him a “Cars” package with eight different containers of bath bubbles… each one is a different “Cars” character and different scent. We smelled each one multiple times this evening. His favorite scent is Mack’s Green Apple!
Despite a good day, we are not going anywhere anytime soon. His weak immune system combined with the fevers means our hospital stay is like being in jail but without the option of early release for good behavior.
Best case, we are looking at 3-4 more weeks in the hospital. Best case.
