Another head outbreak

Jenson got another bad outbreak of bright red petechiae dots on his head but really bad around the sides of his head above his hairline again. Doug and I both knew it wasn't good news given we're already treating his head with strong steroid creams and added the new chemo drug 6-MP a couple weeks ago in addition to his regular chemo treatments.

He picked up a minor cold, but this is the worst his head outbreak has even looked.

We talked to the doctor about it today at his chemo appointment, and you could definitely tell he was concerned. He said, "Call me in a week with an update, but if he's having outbreaks like this I'm likely going to recommend to your new oncologist in Texas that we change up his treatment to include another combination". Even more intense chemo drugs are likely on the horizon.

You'd never know his body was not functioning normally by spending time with Jenson though. His vocabulary is exploding right now with 5-10 new words a day. And he was behind on gross motor skills, but just this weekend starting throwing a ball and running so is now right back on track. He continues to amaze me every day.

Keep praying for healing and for Jenson's body to stop attacking itself and start functioning normally!!

Kristin
