Side effects starting

The side effects have started. Jenson's immune system counts are very low. Any virus right now means automatic admission to the hospital. It is looking like 10-12 days post the start of chemo is the danger zone. We will have to start hibernating during those times.

His hair is definitely thinning and missing on both sides of his head, but right now he still has some. He still has his eyebrows and eyelashes although they are also thinning a bit. We will see how much longer he hangs onto his hair.

On a positive note, Jenson is walking around a lot more! He even chased Sydney in circles when I was playing a fun song they like on the piano. It is so nice to see him moving around again and playing more like a little boy.

Our church had a shaved ice machine this weekend. We got one for Jenson too. This was Jenson's first experience with shaved ice. Sydney and Jenson ate their purple, grape flavored, shaved ice in the back of the car saying "Yumm-y!" after every bite...reminding me to appreciate the simple things in life.
