I know, long time no blog. We went on vacation last week, and I've been traveling for work this week.
Here are the highglights from vacation:
- Difference in temperature between Colorado and Texas = 30 degrees
- Sydney is a swimmer!!! She can now swim the entire length of the pool.
- Spending time on vacation with grandparents is fun for everyone!
- It's not fun being sick on vacation...Jenson and I both down for the count.
- Jenson and amoxicillin are not a good combination... number of poop blow-outs = 21. Seriously, 21 blow-outs in less than a week must be a new record.
- In-suite laundry facilities are a HUGE blessing when traveling!
As for this week, Doug deserves "Dad of the Year" award. He again took on chemo week while I had to travel for work. It's a hard week emotionally. Jenson's fever on Tuesday hits 104 degrees again. We're pretty sure it's about time to switch chemo drugs.
On top of that, Sydney has been out of pre-school this whole week since Kindergarten starts Monday.
We knew Doug would need help, so his Mom and John helped Mon/Tues, Thurs our pastor helped us out and had Sydney hang out with him and his kids (playing at church, McDonald's happy meals with Smurfette prizes, & swimming), and today my mom is watching Sydney and took her to IHOP for breakfast.
We feel so blessed to have the support of family and friends as we continue through this journey. God always provides for us when we need it.
Next week is a big week... Sydney starts Kindergarten Monday. Jenson's re-scheduled PET scan is on Tuesday morning and MRI is supposed to be Friday.
Those events will make for an emotional week - emotions of all types. From proud and happy to scared and uncertain, but God will give us strength through it all.
